Proper documentation is a critical point of regulatory compliance within the healthcare environment Specific maintenance and inspection documentation is required by healthcare regulatory authorities such as The Joint Commission. Compliance Documentation 101 teaches participants to read and interpret life safety plans, properly document maintenance and inspection records, and navigate through the local file server to locate standard documents and apply them correctly.

1. Introduce code and other requirements for documentation procedures related to inspection, testing, and maintenance
2. Recall how to navigate through the proper file storage system and locate specific forms and documents
3. Recognize standard Novant Health documents for code compliance and their respective application
4. Identify appropriate forms and related documentation given various scenarios
