Legacy FM is seeking a skilled Learning Experience Designer (LXD) to join our dynamic team. This role offers fully remote work, flexible office hours, and the opportunity to make a significant impact by developing engaging and effective learning experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n

The LXD will be responsible for designing and developing innovative and interactive learning materials for the healthcare facilities management industry across two primary modalities: instructor-led training (ILT) and eLearning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This role is focused on execution within a defined design system. LXDs own the end-to-end development of training content, from outline to final delivery, ensuring that every course reflects Legacy FM\u2019s standards for instructional integrity, real-world application, and cognitive clarity.<\/span><\/p>\n

This position involves close collaboration with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to create content that enhances the learning experience for our audience. The LXD is responsible for transforming subject-matter expertise into practical, usable learning experiences that improve performance in healthcare facility settings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The ideal candidate has demonstrated expert-level skills in instructional design, instructor-led training, and eLearning development. They must have at least 3 years of professional experience with Articulate Storyline 360 and PowerPoint, plus a portfolio showcasing both high-quality interactive eLearning and instructor-led training experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n

Job Duties:<\/b><\/p>\n

  • Design and Development:<\/span><\/li>\n
      \n
    • Design and develop high-quality learning experiences across ILT (PowerPoint) and eLearning (Articulate Storyline), ensuring all content aligns with Legacy FM instructional standards<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Translate SME input into clear, concise, and performance-driven learning experiences grounded in adult learning principles<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Develop scenario-based learning, simulations, and interactive elements that reinforce real-world application and decision-making<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Ensure all content is intuitive, learner-centered, and aligned to defined competencies, with a focus on clarity, usability, and cognitive load management<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Customize materials using client style guides while maintaining instructional integrity and usability<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Apply structured instructional design approaches to organize content effectively and meet audience needs<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Convert existing materials into updated templates or improved instructional formats<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    • Project Ownership:<\/span><\/li>\n

      • Own the end-to-end development of learning content from initial outline through final delivery<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Manage assigned projects to meet defined timelines, expectations, and quality standards<\/span><\/li>\n

        • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure all materials meet Legacy FM standards for clarity, accuracy, and instructional effectiveness<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Revise and improve learning content based on SME and internal feedback<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Ensure content aligns with Legacy FM branding standards and maintains accessibility and usability best practices<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        • Collaboration and Communication:<\/span><\/li>\n

          • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs and define learning objectives.<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Collaborate with project leads, content writers, SMEs, and other instructional designers to ensure content accuracy and relevance.<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Communicate design decisions, concepts, and rationale effectively to stakeholders and team members.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n

            • A portfolio with demonstrated experience designing both ILT and eLearning. Portfolios must include at least one ILT deck and at least one eLearning sample in Articulate Storyline or equivalent.<\/span><\/li>\n

              • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design application<\/span><\/li>\n

              • Strong written communication and content structuring skills<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                • Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, or a related field is strongly preferred<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Master\u2019s Degree in Instructional Design and Technology, Technical Communication, or a related field is preferred<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Professional certifications such as Articulate Certified Training, Certified Instructional Designer\/Developer (CIDD), or similar are preferred<\/span><\/li>\n
                • LinkedIn Learning, Udemy, or Coursera course completion related to instructional design, eLearning development tools, and related topics preferred<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in technical writing<\/span><\/li>\n
